Panel ekspercki From Science to Regulation: Expert Contributions to Quality in Test Use within Organizations powstał jako wspólna inicjatywa Europejskiej Komisji ds. Diagnozy i Testów Psychologicznych (EFPA Board of Assessment), Polskiego Towarzystwa Psychologicznego i Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Psychologii Organizacji w ramach Europejskiego Semestru Psychologii (polska prezydencja w EFPA w 2026) oraz VII Zjazdu PSPO.
Myślą przewodnią towarzyszącą powołaniu tego wydarzenia było zaprezentowanie na Europejskim Kongresie Psychologii w 2025 roku nowej, uaktualnionej wersji Europejskiego Modelu Recenzowania Testów (EFPA TRM Model). Prace nad modelem trwały trzy lata i były realizowane jako jeden z flagowych projektów EFPA Board of Assessment. Panel jest również częścią kampanii na rzecz promowania odpowiedzialnej kultury diagnostycznej prowadzonej przez społeczność związaną z EFPA Board of Assessment -– Building a high quality testing culture – mającej na celu promowanie działań projakościowych wspierających publikowanie dobrych testów oraz umożliwiających transparentny opis kompetencji potrzebnych do ich stosowania, tak po stronie użytkowników, jak dostawców oraz organizacji odpowiedzialnych za procesy diagnostyczne.
Panel stwarza przestrzeń do stymulowania międzynarodowej debaty o odpowiedzialnej diagnozie psychologicznej, jakości testów psychologicznych i ustawicznym kształceniu kompetentnych użytkowników testów psychologicznych. W obecnych czasach test psychologiczny to nie tylko narzędzie diagnostyczne w rękach wprawnego diagnosty, ale także produkt oraz instrument naukowy bazujący na interdyscyplinarności dziedzin nauki. Gwarantem jakości jest więc nie tyle adekwatnie opracowane narzędzie pomiarowe, co kultura diagnozowania, za którą odpowiada wielu interesariuszy obecnych w branży testów psychologicznych, tak na rynku komercyjnym, jak i w akademii, a także szeroko, w mediach i w społeczeństwie, którego członkowie potrzebują diagnozy psychologicznej w wielu ważnych
momentach swojego życia.
W panelu wezmą udział przedstawiciele organizacji międzynarodowych zajmujących się standardami związanymi z diagnozą psychologiczną, członkowie krajowych organizacji zrzeszających psychologów i lokalnych komisji ds. testów. Członkowie panelu mają tak doświadczenia naukowe, jaki eksperckie, dzięki temu będę mogli przedstawić perspektywę świata nauki, biznesu, praktyki oraz pokazać kierunki wymiany międzynarodowej w obszarach
promowania odpowiedzialnych polityk stosowania testów psychologicznych. Panel odbędzie się w języku angielskim. Słowo wstępne wygłosi Przewodnicząca PSPO, dr Barbara Smorczewska, a panel poprowadzi Urszula Brzezińska.
Prezentacja sylwetek członków panelu
Urszula Brzezińska (panel chair) is a Senior Test Specialist at Pracownia Testów Psychologicznych Polskiego Towarzystwa Psychologicznego (R&D). In her daily work, she develops and validates Polish adaptations of established psychological tests, as well as new assessment instruments. She has also contributed to the Pracownia’s policies on the accreditation of professional assessment competencies among work and organisational psychology professionals, both with and without a psychology degree. Her professional experience also includes conducting recruitment processes for senior management positions and managing teams in public-benefit organisations. Since 2011, she has represented the Polish Psychological Association in European initiatives related to psychological assessment, including several terms on the former EFPA Board of Assessment and the Test User Accreditation Committee. She was one of the initiators of the EFPA Polish Expert Group – EuroTest-WO, established to support the implementation of EuroTest standards in the Polish testing market on behalf of the Polish Psychological Association between 2011 and 2019. Since 2022, she has also been an active member of the EFPA Test Review Model Team, the working group responsible for the 2025 update of the Model and, currently, for supporting its dissemination and implementation.
Dariusz Ambroziak, organisational psychologist, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of collaboration.tech and co-founder of Instytut Gaussa (Warsaw). He advises boards and executive teams across Poland and CEE on assessment-based people decisions and on AI adoption in organisations, guided by the principle "we measure, we don't postulate." Co-author of "Pięć wymiarów człowieka" (2023) and "Oszustwa i nieuczciwość w organizacjach" (2013), and contributor of expert commentary to the Polish edition of the EFPA EuroTest-WO standards, "Standardy dla osób stosujących testy w biznesie." A graduate of SWPS University, he also holds an MBA from Kozminski University.
Paweł Jurek, PhD, is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk. His research focuses on psychometrics and work and organizational psychology, with particular emphasis on the development, validation, and evaluation of psychological assessment tools. He has contributed to the adaptation and technical validation of widely used diagnostic instruments, including the Polish editions of the Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales (SB5) and the SB6/18 Battery of Cognitive Abilities and School Skills, and has authored technical manuals on their psychometric properties. His research also addresses competence assessment, workplace climate, and cross-cultural validation of psychological measures, combining advanced quantitative methods with practical applications in personnel selection, talent assessment, and organizational diagnostics. He has participated in numerous international research projects and regularly publishes on psychological measurement, test validation, and assessment quality. He is a member of the Psychometric Society, the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP), the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP), and serves on the Board of the Polish Association of Organizational Psychology.
Ian Florance: Executive Director, European Test Publishers Group (ETPG). Ian was a co-founder of the European Test Publishers Group and is now Executive Director of the group. He was a member of the working party revising the EFPA test review model. Ian studied at Leeds and Reading Universities. He spent two decades at NFER-NELSON, publishing psychometric tests, books, and journals, and running training and consultancy in the clinical, educational, and business markets and set up his own business, Only Connect, in 2002. This provides marketing, consultancy, and product development services to test developers and publishers. He publishes interviews with which appear in The Psychologist, the British Psychological Society (BPS) journal. He served as an observer on the Standing Committee of Test Standards of the BPS. He has written books and chapters on testing topics and presented at a number of conferences.
Mark Schittekatte, Mark Schittekatte works at the faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Ghent University since 1984, first as researcher (PhD in 1993) and then as an assistant professor. Since 1998 he leads the “Assessment Lab” at the UGent (part of the Faculty Research Support Office). His main scientific activity consists of adapting psychological assessment instruments (a.o. the Whechler’s) for the Flemish / Dutch “culture”. A recurrent focus in his research is on cognitive abilities, cross-cultural bias and digital assessment. He is currently president of the Belgian Test Commission and was the Belgian delegate in the Board of Assessment of EFPA (2008-‘25), and the last years, in this context, chair of a EFPA workgroup on their Test Review Model.
Krzysztof Szostok is an organisational psychologist and R&D Director and Board Member at ALTA sp. z o.o., a Katowice-based publisher and developer of psychological assessment tools and diagnostic systems. His professional work focuses on the development, implementation and practical application of psychological assessment in organisational and high-stakes selection contexts. He is a co-creator of several diagnostic systems, including Test2Drive, OPTIMIS, developed with support from an NCBiR grant, and Multiselect, a psychological assessment system used by the Polish Police. His work combines psychological expertise with an interest in psychometrics, digital assessment and the development of technology-supported solutions for professional diagnosis and selection. Krzysztof trained in psychology at the Université libre de Bruxelles, graduating in 2011, and later completed an MBA programme at the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development (GFKM, 2016–2018). Alongside his role at ALTA, he lectures in Psychological Diagnosis at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, where he contributes to the education of future practitioners in psychological assessment. He is also a member of the European Test Publishers Group (ETPG), through which he engages with the European community of test publishers and professionals working in psychological assessment. His interests include the development and responsible use of psychological tests, digitalisation of assessment, and translating advances in psychological measurement into reliable tools for organisational practice. Krzysztof also works internationally as a Talogy partner, supporting the implementation and application of assessment solutions for HR and organisations. Through this collaboration, he works at the intersection of psychological assessment, technology and organisational practice, contributing to the adoption of evidence-based assessment solutions in international HR contexts.

From Science to Regulation: Expert Contributions to Quality in Test Use within Organizations
This panel explores the standards and ethical principles guiding the use of psychological tests in workplace assessment. A central theme will be the role of test reviewing as a shared responsibility between scientific and business ecosystems, ensuring high-quality, accountable diagnostic practice. Panelists will discuss the need for access to psychometric evidence, theoretical foundations, and transparent information about test construction and
interpretation.
The session will also address the growing influence of automation and AI in organizational assessment processes. While these technologies expand scalability and efficiency, they raise important questions about transparency, expert oversight, and responsibility for decisions based on test results. The panel will emphasize the irreplaceable role of psychologists in evaluating tool quality, interpreting results, and safeguarding the interests of test-takers.
Bringing together experts from academia, industry, and regulatory bodies—including representatives with experience in organizations such as the European Test Publishers Group, EFPA, and the EFPA Board of Assessment—the panel will present examples of good practices and European approaches to test evaluation and test-use policy management.

Panel poświęcony jest standardom i zasadom etycznym stosowania testów psychologicznych w diagnozie w miejscu pracy. Centralnym wątkiem będzie rola procesu recenzowania testów jako wspólnej odpowiedzialności środowiska naukowego i biznesowego, kluczowa dla zapewniania wysokiej jakości oraz transparentności praktyki diagnostycznej. Uczestnicy omówią potrzebę dostępu do danych psychometrycznych, założeń teoretycznych oraz informacji dotyczących konstruowania i interpretacji wyników testów.
W sesji poruszony zostanie również wpływ automatyzacji i sztucznej inteligencji na procesy diagnostyczne w organizacjach. Technologie te zwiększają skalę i efektywność diagnozy, ale jednocześnie rodzą pytania o przejrzystość, zakres kontroli eksperckiej i odpowiedzialność za decyzje podejmowane na podstawie wyników testów.
